Wedding Location
Driving from Denver
Moab is about a 6 hour drive from Denver. The drive winds through beautiful canyons along the Colorado River. The easiest way to get there is to drive on i70 until the Crescent City exit in Utah. Google maps will know the way. If you want to go the super secret back way that goes along river road into Moab, take the Cisco exit from i70 to highway 128. This road is known to locals as river road and is the best way to get to Moab. You will also drive by Ida Gulch on the way!
Flying
Moab is a remote location. There are no large airports that are close by. There is a small airport near Moab called Canyonlands Field Airport. There are no direct flights. If you want to fly into a larger airport Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) is a four hour drive away. Grand junction airport is about one hour and 45 minutes away. We know the travel is a lot to ask but we cannot wait to party with you. We promise good food, good drinks, and even better company.
Ida Gulch
This is the exact location of where we will be getting married on May 30th 2025 at 3:30 PM. Ida Gulch is an equestrian trail off of highway 128 in Moab. Use the Google Maps or Apple Maps link on the website to get the exact location of the parking lot where guests will need to park for the wedding. If you google Ida Gulch it will give you the location of the land formation. After getting directions to the parking lot guests will park in the dirt lot off of highway 128 on the south side of the road, or the right side if you are driving from Moab. After parking guests will walk a short 5 min walk to where we are getting married. Don’t worry there will be other people there that will show the way.
Location of Wedding – Ida Gulch
Reception and Rehearsal Dinner
The wedding reception and rehearsal dinner will take place at an airbnb we rented for the weekend. It is located at 33 Vista Lane in Moab Utah. It is a 45 minute drive to Ida Gulch. The airbnb has a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, pool table and ping pong. When Josh and started wedding planning our main goal was to throw a party with all the people we love most. The goal of the rehearsal dinner and reception is to be laid back and fun. Take advantage of all the airbnb has to offer! We will provide food and beverages at both events. What To Do
Activities in the Moab Area and broader region
Explore
We will have lots of activities planned over the weekend but if you want to do some solo adventuring check out the three parks in the area. Arches National Park is notable for its many hikes and scenic drive through the park. It is highly accessible with a lot of beautiful features seen from the parking lots. During May you will need to make a reservation to get into the park. You can make a reservation through the national park website. Another notable park is Canyonlands. This park is mostly used for off-roading. There are lots of spots to rent UTV’s in Moab if that is something you are interested in. Finally, Dead Horse point is a must see. It is particularly breathtaking at sunset.
Eat & Drink
We will be catering our two favorite places for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception but if you want to try out some other local favorites I suggest Gilbertos, Milt’s, or the Jail House Café. Gilberto’s is famous for their breakfast burritos, Milt’s has my favorite onion rings, and Jail House Café has a killer breakfast. There is also a food truck park in Moab. There are so many goodies here too.
Unwind
Need some time to relax? The airbnb has a heated pool, lots of activities and there are paddleboards to take to the local lake. Although everyone is not sleeping at the house it is open for everyone to enjoy. The entire weekend is meant to be a fun vacation for everyone. Hungover on Saturday after the wedding? Please come over and eat some leftover cake and layout at the pool.
